BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!............sounds the alarm on the Volt Minder, alerting you that your power system needs attention. There are more then enough priority items to keep track of during a tactical event. Let the Volt Minder monitor your vitally important power supply allowing you to concentrate on higher priority items. The alarm voltage can be set to provide sufficient time to take corrective action.
The Volt Minder is powered directly from the battery it is monitoring. No need for other batteries to run the Volt Minder. The 4 digit, back-lit LCD meter allows continuous monitoring under all lighting conditions. The alarm voltage set-point is easily set by the user and is maintained as long as the Volt Minder is connected to the battery. Once set and turned on, the alarm will sound after the alarm voltage set-point is reached and maintained for 35 seconds. The audible alarm can be manually silenced.
The low cost of the Volt Minder protects the large investment in your battery. Every time a battery is over discharged the internal battery chemistry is irreversible altered reducing the service life of the battery.
Don't be taken by surprise by sudden power supply failure or the inability to start your vehicle at the end of the event.
REAR VIEW - Operating instructions are silk screened on the rear of the Volt Minder. You are never without operating instructions.
SIDE VIEW - Shows the included mounting bracket. To better show the backet the Volt Minder is not pushed all the way into the bracket. This is a very snug friction fit.

Q. - What is the purpose of the Volt Minder?
A. - To help users achieve the maximum battery life by preventing damaging over-discharging. This is accomplished by a constant readout of battery voltage and the sounding of an audible alarm when the voltage goes below the user set low voltage alarm point.
Q. - Will the alarm immediately sound when the voltage set point is reached?
A. - No it will not immediately sound. There is a 35 second delay before the alarm will sound once the set point is reached and sustained.
Q. - What is the current consumption of the Volt Minder?
A. - The total current consumption is 34mA in standby with the alarm set, 27mA.in standby with no alarm set. 5mA is drawn by the LED on the cigarette lighter power cord. If a lower current consumption mete is desired, consider the TVM-1 or TVM-2 which draw less than 3mA.
Q. - Does the Volt Minder have a back light?
A. - Yes, it easy to read low light environment.
Q. - What is the voltage range of the Volt Minder?
A. - The Volt Minder is designed to work with 12Vdc systems, 10.5 - 20Vdc.
Q. - Can the audible alarm be turned off?
A. - Yes, it can be turned off so that it will never sound or it can be manually muted after it alarms.
Q. - Does the Volt Minder remember the alarm set point if it is disconnected from the battery?
A. - No, the alarm set point will default back to 12V if it is disconnected. However the set point will be maintained during the starting of a vehicle (drop in voltage) if it remains connected to the battery.
Q. - Why have you included and Anderson Powerpole connector?
A. - Many Amateur radio operators have standardized on these connectors for all of their 12Vdc connections. They may wish to replace the cigarette lighter connector with the Powerpole.
Q. - How will the Volt Minder make my battery last longer?
The Volt Minder helps avoid damaging your battery from over discharging that results from usage or undercharging, thereby extending the life of your expensive battery to it's full potential.
BACK LIGHTING - LED back lighting allows the meter to be read in any lighting condition.
